YashoBhoomi: India’s Leading Convention and Exhibition Centre

The first phase of the world-class ‘YashoBhoomi’ India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) in Dwarka, Delhi, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

YashoBhoomi’s Background

  • Following the Bharat Mandapam, which housed international leaders during the recent G20 Summit, YashoBhoomi is the second convention centre to offer first-rate amenities for exhibitions and conferences.
  • It embodies the Prime Minister’s aim to build world-class infrastructure in India for conventions, meetings, and exhibits, and it benefits immensely from its operational position in Dwarka.

Key Features of the YashoBhoomi

  • Expansive Project: YashoBhoomi, also known as the India International Convention and Expo Centre, spans an astonishing 8.9 lakh square metres, with a built-up area exceeding 1.8 lakh square metres.
  • Capacity & Facilities: This convention centre has a staggering capacity of 11,000 attendees. The main auditorium, the grand ballroom, and 13 conference rooms are among the 15 convention spaces.
  • Auditorium and Ballroom: The main auditorium seats 6,000 people, with an extra 2,500 seats available in the grand ballroom. In addition, there is seating for up to 500 people in a vast open space.
  • YashoBhoomi is notable for its large exhibition hall, which spans over 1.07 lakh square metres.
  • Metro Connectivity: On the same day as the opening of the new Dwarka Sector 25 metro station, YashoBhoomi will be linked to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line.
  • The conference centre incorporates elements inspired by Indian civilizations, such as terrazzo flooring with brass inlays imitating rangoli patterns, suspended sound-absorbing metal cylinders, and lit pattern walls.
  • YashoBhoomi is dedicated to sustainability, including rooftop solar panels, a cutting-edge wastewater treatment technology that allows for 100% effluent reuse, rainwater collection, and Green Cities Platinum certification from CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
