Meri LIFE ki Swachh Shehar
- The programme focuses on trash management and supports the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (RRR) principles.
- Its goal is to raise awareness and inspire people to adopt environmentally friendly everyday routines.
- Under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0, the programme enhances individuals’ commitment to reducing, reusing, and recycling.
- It is consistent with Mission LiFE’s goal of establishing sustainable daily habits for environmental conservation.
Goals of the Campaign
- The effort entails the establishment of RRR Centres where individuals can donate items such as clothing, shoes, books, toys, and plastic for reuse or recycling.
- The gathered objects will be reconditioned or turned into new goods, in keeping with the circular economy idea.
- The RRR technique enables artisans, recyclers, Self-Help Groups, entrepreneurs, and startups to turn garbage into a variety of products.
RRR Centres and the Circular Economy are two key projects.
- The RRR Centres, which will be opened across the country, will act as one-stop collecting points for various unneeded or used items.
- Plastic products, clothes, shoes, books, and toys can be deposited at these centres by citizens, institutions, and commercial enterprises.
- The materials gathered will be reconditioned for reuse or converted into new goods, boosting the government’s circular economy vision.
