Ex Khaan Quest 2023, an international peacekeeping joint exercise involving military contingents and observers from over 20 countries, has begun in Mongolia.
2023 Ex Khaan Quest
- This 14-day exercise aims to improve interoperability, share experiences, and train UN Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO).
- The Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) and the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) are co-sponsoring the exercise.
- The Indian Army is actively involved in this endeavour, with a contingent from the GARHWAL RIFLES.
Exercise Timetable
- Fostering Interoperability: The purpose of this exercise is to promote interoperability among participating nations, allowing for greater coordination during joint operations.
- Sharing Experience: The exercise provides a forum for military personnel involved in UNPKO to share their experiences and best practises, allowing them to learn from one another’s expertise.
- Participants will be trained for future UN Peacekeeping deployments, ensuring they have the required skills and capacities to carry out effective peace operations.
- Diverse Training Elements: The exercise includes a variety of training elements, including Command Post Exercises (CPX), Field Training Exercises (FTX), combat talks, lectures, and demonstrations.
